Book Blogger Hop (20th - 26th June)

The Book Blogger Hop is hosted at Ramblings Of A Coffee Addicted Writer and this week's question is:

Do you prefer Nook, Kindle, other reader or paper book?

I find it doesn't strain my eyes as much to read on my Kindle compared with a paper book and I also read quicker on it as well. It's much more convenient to take to work or when I go out than a large hardback book for example. Then again if I read more than 2 ebooks in a row I miss holding a paper book and I still borrow a lot of them from the library. I always buy the latest Stephen King in hardback rather than the ebook version as I like to see them on my shelf. Although I think I slightly prefer the Kindle because of the convenience of it I'll never be able to give up on paper books. It's more exciting going into a bookshop for a browse and coming home with something to add to my tbr pile rather than just downloading a digital version. I do love the Kindle daily deals though and you can often get some very good ebooks for only £0.99p.

  1. I'm a totally printed book girl. Nothing better than holding your favourite book in your hands, the touch, the feel, the smell x

  2. I'll definitely never give up on printed books! Reading a lot on my Kindle actually makes me enjoy paperbacks/hardbacks more. Although I think reading a paperback is easier at times, the fact I can take my Kindle everywhere makes it my favourite. It's also become my baby a little bit, I cry when I drop it! Thanks for sharing :) I hope you have a great weekend!

  3. I'm with you about not giving up on both. Both have such great advantages and it's hard to beat the convenience of the Kindle! Nice to never have to worry about running out of stuff to read and those daily deals get me pretty much every day!

    1. Hi Katherine, it's so handy when I go on holiday, take the Kindle and don't have to worry whether I've got enough to read.

  4. I prefer print. I hope they don't go away. :)

E-books hurt my eyes, and I also tend to forget I have them. :)

    Happy Hopping!!

  6. Hi Elizabeth, my Kindle has an e-ink screen thankfully so easy to read & doesn't strain my eyes. I'm sure printed books will never disappear :)

  7. Yes, it is nice to have the actual copy of a book on your shelf, and it's also an amazing experience to go to a bookstore. But then again, you make some good points about the Kindle! I don't own a Kindle, though I can imagine they are very convenient.

  8. I love paperbacks, but it is so awesome to have my Kindle and an unlimited library with me at all times. :)
