It's Monday! What Are You Reading is a weekly meme run by Book Journey and you can mention books you've just finished, are currently reading and any you plan to read this week. You can leave a link to your blog and read other bloggers posts, this is the first week I've participated in this meme.
I seem to be getting through quite a few books despite being busy with my daughters during the summer holidays, mainly because I'm choosing short books or easy reads.
This week I finished reading:
Summer of '76 by Isabel Ashdown - loved this one but haven't reviewed it yet
Hater by David Moody
How To Be A Good Wife by Emma Chapman
Book I'm currently reading:
The Funeral Dress by Susan Gregg Gilmore - this is a review copy from NetGalley, I only started it yesterday evening but it's good so far and I'm enjoying it, should appeal to anyone who loves southern fiction.
Is Southern fiction really a genre? It sounds quite wonderful, giving me images of beautiful houses with porches and elegant women. I am not from the US and never been to the South of the US, so I could be completely wrong.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, enjoy your week & kind regards,
Summer of '76? Yes, I remember that year. Glad you liked this one. I'm curious about it now.
ReplyDeleteHere's my What Are You Reading?!
I do love Southern fiction...thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteWas hoping How To Be A Good Wife would have been a stronger selection (just read your review and someone else's) but still on my wishlist. I do enjoy Southern Fiction also. Enjoy the week!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these but I'm intrigued by The Funeral Dress, it sounds good!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by mu blog and happy reading :)
