Book Blogger Hop (6th-12th September)

The Book Blogger Hop is hosted at Ramblings Of A Coffee Addicted Writer and this week's question is:

What got you started as a blogger? Everyone has a story/reason, what's yours?

A couple of years ago I started to put a few reviews on Amazon and the Read It Swap It website, then earlier this year I joined Goodreads and also NetGalley which obviously meant more books to review. I'd previously thought about starting a book blog but didn't really have the time to set it up, didn't think anyone would be interested or even if I'd be able to do it. I'm currently not working and have some spare time on my hands so decided this would be the perfect time to give it a try. To be honest I wondered if I'd get bored but I have to say I love it, there are so many memes to take part in and the blogging community are very friendly.

  1. NetGalley is a beautiful place that makes me very happy in many different ways! I'm not too good with Goodreads unfortunately, but blogging is just amazing! Thanks for sharing, hope you have a good weekend!

  2. I like NetGalley, but I admit that I hardly use it --- I can barely keep up with all the books I bring home from the library. :)

Nice to read how you stated blogging --- welcome to the community!

    1. Thanks Jo, I'm really enjoying it :)

I've just cut back on requesting books from NetGalley so I can catch up reading my own. I was a bit like a kid in a sweet shop to start with but I've calmed down now hahaha!

  5. NetGalley sounds so tempting. I keep thinking I should check it out. But then I look at my huge piles of unread books and get discouraged.

    1. Hi Susan

I've cut back at the moment and I'm only requesting NetGalley books I really want to read. I've had some great ones from them but want to catch up so I can read some of my own.
